WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
Are you looking for someone to design and develop a website for you and your business? Well, you might be in the right place.
I say "might" because only take on a limited number of website projects each year and for that reason, I'm pretty selective. In saying this, if you like my style, there's a good chance I will like yours, so read on to find out more information!
I only build WordPress websites...

I'm just putting that out there up front. I'm what you might call a "Wordpress-lover" and I truly believe it's the best website content management system available. One day, I might write a blog post about this, but in the meantime, there is loads of information available online about why WordPress is a great, highly customisable, powerful and scalable system.
WordPress may not be for you. And that's totally okay! Some people prefer simpler systems like Shopify (for e-commerce), Squarespace or even Wix. If you would prefer to build your website on one of those platforms, please feel free to get in touch and I'd be happy to refer you to someone who can help.
Now that we've got that out of the way...
Here are some reasons you should choose ME to build your first or next website...
So, how do we make it happen?
Take a look at my website development workflow...
Step 1: A free consult call to make sure we're a good fit
Even if we already know each other well, I think it's a good idea we jump on the phone and have a quick 15 minute chat about what you're hoping to achieve. I can let you know if I'm the right person to help and let you know what my schedule is looking like and whether I can meet your expectations on time.
Step 2: We will send you a client engagement agreement

This agreement outlines my terms and conditions as well as both party's responsibilities. We will send this agreement to you electronically, which allows you to sign online, without printing documents or getting caught up in unnecessary administration. We make it as quick and easy as possible for you to engage Pop Your Business to support you. This agreement will include a formal quote, as well as a payment schedule and initial details of any additional software or plugins you will need to purchase.
Step 3: Commencement invoice
Unless otherwise agreed, I take a 50% payment to lock in your website project and then invoice for the remaining 50% upon completion. We will send your commencement invoice through Xero and you'll be able to make payment via PayPal, Stripe (credit card) or direct deposit.
Step 4: A more in depth discovery session to chat through the details of what you need and how we can best make it happen
During this session (which usually lasts 60-90 minutes), we will talk about the scope of your project. We will put together a clear plan, outline milestones and set a communication schedule. Depending on what you would like to include in your website development project (copywriting, image creation, content creation, branding etc.) I will ask further questions to collect the information I need. I'll also take the time to answer any questions you have and will send you away with a to-do list of tasks to complete before I get started.
Step 5: I dive in and do the work (with the support of my team)
This is when I roll up my sleeves and get down to business. Depending on the scope of your project, I'll update you on milestones as we progress and will be in touch to seek additional clarification if needed. We will also schedule time to preview your web content so that I can get feedback from you as the website comes together. I may or may not utilise the skills of my team members in completing your work - this work will be included in the cost quoted to you and I will be responsible for quality assurance and ensuring that your work is completed to the Pop Your Business standard.
Step 6: A hand-over meeting for me to explain what has been completed and provide training on how to maintain your new website.
When your website is complete, we will arrange a final hand-over meeting. In this meeting, I will go through what has been completed, ensure you understand how to maintain your website, and I will respond to any outstanding questions you have. If we have implemented any software integrations, I will also provide you with training on this, so that you can manage this in-house moving forward. (If you choose to, of course. If you would prefer me and my team to handle this for you, we can discuss this.)
Step 6: Final invoicing and feedback
Once the hand-over meeting has been completed and you're satisfied with the work I have done, my team will issue you with a final invoice. If we have purchased any software, equipment, or other materials on your behalf, this will be included in this invoice. At this time, you'll also be sent a feedback request form and I would be extremely grateful if you would take a few moments to respond. You'll have the option to allow us to publish your comments in the form of a testimonial and can choose for your words to be de-identified if you prefer to remain anonymous.
How much does it all cost?
Every project is different, so it's difficult to give you an estimated cost without chatting to you about what you need. What I can confirm is that all systems, automation and tech support work is completed on hourly rate terms (unless otherwise agreed). My hourly rate for this work is different to the amount I charge for coaching, as I can complete Done-For-You services in my own time (and in my pyjamas!). My current hourly rate for this type of work is $110/hour (inclusive of GST), however, this is subject to change. Rest assured that if we do enter into an agreement, my rate will not increase mid-project, without a discussion and an amended agreement.
